Digital Radiology (X-rays)
Essential, rapid and low-radiation imaging examination, used primarily to visualize bones, joints and the rib cage (lungs).
How your exam will proceed
Standard radiology is very fast and X-ray exposure is minimal thanks to digital technology.
- Preparation: You remove the clothing and objects (zippers, jewelry) that are in the area to be examined.
- Examination: The radiographer positions you precisely between the transmitting device and the digital sensor. You are asked not to move, and sometimes to hold your breath.
- Image Sequence: Several shots may be required from different angles. Staff move behind a protective screen during image capture.
- Results: The image is instantly available on screen and is analyzed by the radiologist. The results are ready very quickly.
**Important Note** : Please inform the medical team if you are pregnant or think you might be. Bring your prescription and any previous X-rays for comparison.
